Shuyu Zhou
Shuyu is a PhD student in the School of Engineering at the Australian National University. With a strong knowledge background of biomass, she is passionate about sustainable utilisation of biomass in CO2 mitigation, currently researching lignocellulosic biomass applications for low-emission iron and steel. The aim of her research is to explore the feasible and optimal solutions of adding bio-substitutes in several iron making pathways in a combined experimental and simulating method for reducing CO2 emissions and contributing the net-zero goal effectively. As an energetic and creative person, Shuyu is interested in hiking, fitness, reading books and visiting exhibitions to help balance her life and work.
