Dr Alireza Salmachi
Alireza has held the position of Director of Teaching and Learning in the School of Chemical Engineering, where he played a crucial role in implementing effective educational strategies within engineering programs. Over the course of five years, he served as a program coordinator, dedicating his efforts to developing a new postgraduate program. His responsibilities extended to coordinating accreditation processes with Engineers Australia, conducting program reviews, and organising the development of courses with a specific focus on sustainability, including a Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage course. Alireza's commitment to education is further demonstrated through his supervision of PhD, master by research, and honors projects over the past decade. His expertise lies in conducting multi-disciplinary research, with research focuses including hydrogen storage, carbon capture and storage in deep geological formations, techno-economic assessment, and asset decommissioning and repurposing. Alireza's diverse contributions showcase his dedication to advancing both educational and research initiatives within the field of chemical engineering.
