Scott Groom

Scott is an accomplished scientist and project manager with a track record of developing international collaborations to solve big questions. Following roles in climate-related research spanning Europe, Asia and the Pacific over the past 15 years, Scott joined HILT CRC with a highly technical skillset and an ability to build genuine rapport with a broad range of stakeholders. This enables him to oversee cross-cultural projects and the development of diverse relationships, but also the analysis of large datasets and the communication of complex concepts simply. Scott is passionate about driving meaningful action globally, having worked within communities facing imminent climate change impacts – from conservation areas of China to Polynesian villages and farming townships of regional Australia. Scott holds a doctorate in evolutionary biology from Flinders University.
