Anil Tripathy

Anil is a Chemical Engineer and an avid researcher in the extractive metallurgy and mineral processing field. He graduated in Chemical Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, India in 2012. Upon graduating, he worked for a time at CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar, India as a researcher. Further studies saw him awarded an MSc degree in Engineering (Research) from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 2021. He has more than 10 years of experience in developing processes relating to pyro-hydrometallurgy, Mineral Processing, Material Science, and Material Characterisation, and has developed a few new techniques for processing secondary materials such as coal fly ash, and aluminium dross to extract the minerals values. Anil has also published 9 scientific papers and is listed as a co-inventor of a patent. Currently, he is a PhD student in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at the Western Australian School of Mines, Minerals, Energy and Chemical Engineering at Curtin University. His research topic 'The valorisation of effluents from the hydrometallurgical upgrade of iron ore' forms part of the HILT CRC funded project: 'The Upgrading of Iron Ore for DRI Production using Products from Seawater Reverse Osmosis Brines" led by Professor Jacques Eksteen.
