Shohreh Nasri

A PhD student at The University of Adelaide, Shohreh holds a Master's degree in Power Electrical Engineering. Her main area of interest and previous research is renewable energy systems, in particular the design of photovoltaic-wind energy integrated with storage systems considering reliability and cost. She has carried out research in the area of optimal design of islanded and grid-connected hybrid energy systems with battery storage using a metaheuristic optimisation algorithm, and has also focused on maximum power tracking of photovoltaic energy systems based on metaheuristic optimisation algorithms. For her PhD, Shohreh aims to achieve energy supply for heavy industry using a hybrid renewable energy system based on multiple energy storage, significantly reducing carbon emissions and helping to achieve net-zero emissions.
