Johannes Moolman

Johannes Moolman is a PhD student at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), focusing on interlinking critical mineral and steel supply chains. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The University of Queensland and a master’s in Sustainable Energy from The Danish Technical University. His current research explores how Australia could leverage domestic critical mineral supply chains to produce high-strength green steels, aiming to contribute to Australia’s sovereign capabilities and capacity to supply emerging markets. He brings experience in project advisory and management, as well as mathematical modelling and cost-benefit analyses of large-scale systems. In his spare time, Johannes enjoys hiking and is an avid reader of fiction and history.
