Ujwal Kudaru
Ujwal is a PhD student at Swinburne University of Technology under the supervision of Professor Geoff Brooks. His research centres on the modelling of electrical smelter furnaces with a specific focus on heat transfer processes and computational modelling. His work aims to enhance the thermal efficiency and performance of smelting operations through detailed simulation and analysis. Ujwal holds a Master’s degree in CAD/CAM, a specialisation within mechanical engineering, which has provided him with a strong foundation in advanced design and simulation tools, including SolidWorks and ANSYS. With extensive experience in these platforms, he uses computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) techniques to model and optimise heat transfer, material flow and thermal management within furnace systems. Ujwal’s research integrates both theoretical and practical aspects of heat transfer, with the goal of improving energy consumption and operational efficiency in industrial smelting processes. He aims to contribute to the development of more sustainable and cost-effective furnace technologies in the metal processing industry.
