Pouya Pourkashani

Pouya Pourkashani is a PhD student at the University of Adelaide, and holds a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, focusing on fluid mechanics. His prior research includes numerical modelling of mixed convection of nano-fluids in cavities and channels, resulting in published papers. Pouya’s current PhD research with HILT CRC, involves the techno-economic analysis of heat pumps for waste heat recovery. This study aims to enhance energy efficiency in industrial processes by repurposing waste heat through advanced heat pump technology. The goal of Pouya's work is to support the sustainable integration of these systems into manufacturing, thereby reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, and improving the competitiveness of industrial sectors.
