Mission Innovation

 

In partnership with Austria, Australia co-leads the Net-Zero Industries Innovation Mission through HILT CRC and the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) to ensure that by 2030, a suite of proven technical solutions is available to facilitate by 2050 the full decarbonisation of heavy industries globally.

The Australian Government engaged HILT CRC to fulfill Australia’s leadership role, coordinating the knowledge-sharing benefits and building international networks. The Mission Innovation Roadmap Towards Net-Zero Industries sets out the plan for global knowledge sharing and collaboration to accelerate the development and application of new technologies, including clean hydrogen; carbon capture, utilisation and storage; and bio-based fuels and renewables for use in heavy industries.
