A consulting chief executive officer with over 40 years’ experience in the resources sector in Australia and New Zealand, Ray continues to contribute to improving economic, environmental and social outcomes. His current roles include CEO for the Tasmanian Minerals, Manufacturing and Energy Council (TMEC), the state’s peak body for mines, mineral processors, energy intensive businesses and manufacturers; executive chair and part owner of KEEN Partners, a Tasmanian resource and training company that manages apprentices, trainees and a flexible workforce; and vice chair of Rosie’s Reading, a charity seeking to improve literacy for all Tasmanian children. Past roles include General Manager of Rio Tinto’s Aluminium Smelter in Tasmania and maintenance and engineering positions at Newcastle Steelworks. Ray has served on not-for-profit boards, advisory boards and chairing committees since 2015.
